about

"Tiny Garden is an ode to the way my heart works. I was thinking about how it feels to often be the one in relationships who moves slower, and trying to explain that the slowness doesn't mean there's a lack of love there. The slowness can sometimes be out of fear or anxiety about needs not being met, but it can also be an act of care, a burying of a seed deep down so it can grow into something sturdy. I love what duendita wrote because it brought up the element of patterns from past generations that we carry into our present loves. To me this song is an invitation to get to know the inner workings of your heart and to grow more and more intentional about the way we enter new relationships."
